4 Hurt in Crash Are Recovering
Mt. Pleasant, Oct. 6.--Aaron Downing, 26, of 421 S. Lansing st.; Nora Downing, 25, same address; Mrs. Eunice Fair, 21, of E. Pickard st., and Harvey Walker, 35, of Rosebush, where recovering in the Central Michigan Community hospital on Thursday from injuries received in an accident early Monday [3 October 1949].
Hospital attendants Thursday said that the condition of Walker was still critical but he was improving. The condition of the others was also improved.

Harvey Walker, 36, of Rosebush, suffered a broken right thigh in a three car accident east of Mt. Pleasant on M-20 at 1:00 a. m. Monday. Three occupants of one of the other cars were seriously injured and all four were taken to the Central Michigan Community Hospital.

Nora Downing, Plaintiff, vs. Aaron B. Downing, Defendant.
Suit pending in the Circuit Court for the County of Grand Traverse, In Chancery, on the 24th day of August, 1959.
In the above entitled cause it appearing that the Defendant, Aaron B. Downing, is not a resident of this State, but that he resides in the Sate of California, at 3384 Santa Fe, Apartment 3, Long Beach, California:
Therefore, on Motion of James M. Fitzpatrick, Attorney for Plaintiff. It Is Ordered that the Defendant enter his Appearance in said cause on or before three (3) months from the date of this Order, and that, within forty (40) days the Plaintiff cause this Order to be published in the Traverse City Record-Eagle, a newspaper published and circulated within said County of Grand Traverse, said publication to be continued once in each week for six (6) weeks in succession.

Services for Nora M. Downing, 59, of Lansing and formerly of Traverse City, were 11 a.m. Monday, June 14, 1982 at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in East Lansing, with the Rev. Msgr. Jerome V. MacEachin officiating.
Graveside services followed at 3 p.m. at Calvary Cemetery Chapel in Mt. Pleasant.
Mrs. Downing died Friday, June 11, 1982 at a Lansing hospital.
She is survived by one son, John of Medina, Ohio; one daughter, Sue Grades of Lansing; her father, Ernest Voisin of Lansing; three brothers, John Voisin of Mt. Pleasant, Glenn Voisin of Saginaw and Paul Voisin of St. Johns; two sisters, Mary Elias of Okemos and Karen Golden of Holt; and five grandchildren.
