Notes:

Ambrose Starr's wife is assumed to be Ann Rosina Starr (maiden name unknown). The 1851 census (actually conducted in 1852) lists "Ann," age 26. The 1861 census lists "Ann R.," age 34 while the 1871 census lists "Rosina," age 44. Although Ambrose could have remarried between 1861 and 1871, Rosina is more likely Ann's middle name. It was common for Germans to go by their middle names. Plus Ann Rosina's age is more or less consistent across all three censuses.
