Ruth M. (Marks) Redfern, 83, of Moon Twp., passed away on December 9, 2014, in Heritage Valley Sewickley Hospital.
She was born in Turtle Creek, PA on February 15, 1931, a daughter of the late Frank and Cristine (Pohl) Marks.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, William Redfern; her children, Cynthia (Jeff) Jamison, Thomas (Lorena) Redfern, Steven (Kara) Redfern; 5 grandchildren, Amanda, Sarah, Ethan, Aleah, and Sophia. She is also survived by her sisiter, Evelyn Rice, and sisiters-in-law, Marie Jo Marks, Kathy Marks, and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her brothers; Bob, Dick, Jim and Bill Marks.
Ruth loved her family and enjoyed quilting in her free time. She worked for Porters Pharmacy and delivered meals for “Meals on Wheels” locally.
Friends will be received on Thursday from 6-8 PM and Friday 2-4 & 6-8 PM in The Huntsman Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Moon Twp. (1522 Coraopolis Hts. Rd.) A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Margaret Mary Church on Saturday at 9:30 AM with interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contribution be made to the American Cancer Society, 320 Bilmar Dr. Pittsburgh, PA 15205
