MILLIGAN DAVID
Age 89, born in Linhart, PA, of Monroeville on Tuesday May 6, 2008 peacefully went home to be with the Lord. Beloved husband of Nellie A. (Blackwell) Milligan; loving father of Patricia (John) Grant, David Milligan, Sandra (Alton) Walters, Trudy and Judy Milligan; also survived by nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by Mary Howell, Albert Milligan, Jean Milligan, Florence Kukla, Elsie Teslavich, Ann Bricklemeyer, and Johnny Milligan. David was a welder for the Westinghouse Electric and retired from US Steel Research in Monroeville. He was in the First Marine Division during WWII, having served in combat in the South Pacific Islands and also as a Presidential Guard at the White House. He was a member of the American Legion in Monroeville and the VFW in Turtle Creek. Friends will be received Thursday 4-8pm at the JOBE FUNERAL HOME, INC., Corner of Shaw and Triboro Aves., Turtle Creek (412-823-1950). Services will be held Friday 12:30 at the McMasters Methodist Church. Interment with Full Military Honors will follow at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
