William Marks, 63, died Sunday, Dec. 12, 2004, after a courageous two-year battle with cancer. He was born and raised in Turtle Creek, a son of the late Frank and Christina Marks. He and his beloved wife, Kathleen, lived in Murrysville for 28 years before moving to Greensburg five years ago. These loving children who he was so proud of survive him, sons, Brian (Tanya) and Adam (Erin) Marks; and daughter, Julianna (Brian) Helt. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert, Richard (Mildred) and James (Marie Jo). He is survived by sisters Ruth (Bill) Redfern and Evelyn Rice; mother-in-law, Helen (Bill) Johnston; brother-in-law, Scott Ryczek and dear friend Lucinda Prentice; and many nieces, nephews and wonderful friends. Bill worked for 39 years at the Westinghouse Science and Technology Center, Churchill, as an industrial photographer. He had exhibited his photographs at the Carnegie Museum and the Three Rivers Arts Festival. He volunteered as a soccer coach and was an avid golfer and a member of Cherry Creek Golf Course in Youngwood. Bill was a member of St. Alban's Episcopal Church, Murrysville. Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the JOBE FUNERAL HOME INC., corner of Shaw and Triboro avenues, Turtle Creek.
