Bernadine Garbacz Sharrer Member of St. James Catholic Church Bernadine Garbacz Sharrer, 87, Conrad House, Brevillier Village, Harborcreek Township, died Saturday, December 2, 2006 at the Conrad House. She was born April 25, 1919, in Erie, daughter of the late Joseph and Bessie Cieslikowski Garbacz. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church. She was a homemaker and worked in catering many years. Her hobbies included baking, candy making, playing cards and reading.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Sharrer, in 2000, and an infant son, Michael Sharrer; two brothers, Francis and Edward J. Garr; four sisters, Alice Hough, Louise Koenig, Josephine Kolivoski and Isabelle Theresa Garbacz.

Survivors include five daughters, Belle Anderson and husband, Fred, of Goosecreek, S.C., Linda Kamppi and husband, Richard, Cindie Ott and husband, Ron, both of Erie, Cheryl Knaus and husband, Frank, of Marietta, Ohio and Mary Alice Sharrer of Erie; three sons; Edward Sharrer and wife, Linda, of Tulsa, Okla., Ken Sharrer and wife, Lynn, of Gainsville, Ga., and Bill Sharrer and wife, Sara, of Erie; two sisters, Mona Warus and Joan Wieszczyk and husband, Valentine, of Erie; and one brother, Arthur Garr and wife, Frances, of Las Vegas, Nev. Also survived by 13 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call at the Edward J. Garr Funeral Home, 459 E. 12th St., Erie, Pa, 16503, Tuesday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Services will be at the funeral home on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by her godson, Rev. Msgr. Gerald L. Orbanek at 11 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Dr. Gertrude A.
