Mildred J. Shoe, 95, of Alma, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2005, at Gratiot Medical Center, Alma.
Funeral services are Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Berry Funeral Home, Shepherd, with Nathon Prong officiating. Interment is in Salt River Cemetery.
Visitation is Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Berry Funeral Home and Wednesday from noon to time of service.
Mildred J. Shoe was born Sept. 14, 1909, in Plymouth, Pa., the daughter of Benjamin and Nellie (Vilkalya) Puskavish. She retired from Central Michigan University in 1976, after many years of service. She was a member of Order of Eastern Star.
She is survived by four daughters, Norma (Glen) Voisin of Saginaw; Kay (Bill) Dandaneau of Sarasota, Fla., Jackie (Dick) Coin of Alma, Marilyn (John) Palmer of Corunna; and Bonnie (Bob) Davis of Sarasota, Fla.; 16 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; sister, Violet (Charles) Washlack of Bentleyville, Pa. and sister-in-law, Louise Puskavick of Scenery Hill, Pa.
Mrs. Shoe was preceded in death by her husband, Reginald Shoe, on Sept. 12, 1968, and a daughter, Patricia Tamburino, on Nov. 26, 1997.
