Mrs. Joshua T. Stewart

Mrs Emma Mack Stewart, wife of Joshua T. Stewart, died at her home on West Philadelphia street on Tuesday morning at 9:30 o'clock with cancer, from which she had been a sufferer for some time. Mrs. Stewart was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Mack. She was born near Armagh, in West Wheatfield township, where the daughter resided until her marriage to Mr. Stewart on January 1, 1899, when the young couple located at Centerville. They came to Indiana 16 years ago, where the family has since resided. Mrs. Stewart was a highly esteemed woman and a devoted christian. She was a member of the First United Presbyterian church and an active worker in the Indiana Women's Christian Temperance Union. She is survived by her husband and two children, Mack and Ethel, both at home, and three brothers, Robert Mack, of Seward; Joseph and Hugh Mack, of Huff. Funeral services will be held at the Stewart home Thursday morning at 11 o'clock by her pastor, Rev. Dr. J. Day Brownlee, and interment will be made in Greenwood cemetery, where one of her children sleeps.
