Karen Long died at the age of 64, at the University Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan, a lifelong resident of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. She graduated Beal City High School in 1969. She was a member of Sacred Heart Parish, and was employed for the past 15 years to Ferro Manufacturing. Also a member of the 144th Military Police Family Support Unit. She enjoyed Sports, Camping, and Gardening.

She was preceded in death by her parents Evelyn M. (Rademacher) Earl and Willis K. Earl, a sister Connie Malley, and a brother Lewis Earl. She is survived by: Her husband of almost 40 years, Bruce Long of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, and 5 siblings-Three Sisters-Donna Bellinger of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, Jean Beck of Lansing, Michigan, and Shirley Rice of Alma, Michigan, and Two Brothers-Richard Earl of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, and Larry Earl of Laingsburg, Michigan.
